Reading Takes You Places!

We asked Eric, in the green shirt, Why Do you like to read? “The financial capacity of my family can’t allow me to travel so that I can experience the world. Alternatively, I like to read because I can travel everywhere through reading.”

Happy Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day we honor all the mom’s who are committed to and actively participate in their children’s education; taking time to read to them and help them keep learning outside the classroom.

Parents reading with kids deepen bonds in families

Karinganire on the left reading to his son “Normally I used to be always busy with work trying to ensure the family’s financial stability. This affected my relationship with my son Julian. But after Rwinkwavu Community Library opened, I started to go there at least once a week to borrow a book and read to Julian in the library and at home. Since I started reading to my son my sociability with him has increased. Now he can tell me all of his feelings while he was not before.”
